November to March is the austral summer, with long days and every trail open, but also the strongest wind. September, October and April have fewer people and less stable weather. Much of the infrastructure closes in winter.
The nearest airport is Puerto Natales (PNT), with seasonal flights, or Punta Arenas (PUQ), about 3 hours from Natales. From central Natales to the park is another 2 hours. From the Argentine side, El Calafate is a common entry point.
Most itineraries for Torres del Paine call for 5 to 8 days. Less than that still covers the highlights, but leaves little room for weather or tides to interfere.
