Explore the incredible Lençóis Maranhenses with the 65 km Trek, departing from Atins (MA) to the famous Lagoa do Junco. Our trek is not a race and everyone is welcome, as long as they have a minimum of physical fitness and are not completely sedentary. We accept both women and men, including teenagers from 15 years old accompanied by a responsible adult. The pace of the trek will be set by the last member, ensuring that no one is left behind. During the journey, there will be no communication, Wi-Fi, cell phone signal, etc. It is important that all participants follow the information provided by the coordinators to avoid misinformation.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Everyone must arrive in Barreirinhas by 12:00, as we will have a few hours for last-minute shopping (food, etc.). At 15:00, we will depart from Barreirinhas to Atins by speedboat, lasting approximately 2 hours, taking a tour along the Preguiça River until we arrive. At 18:00, we will check into the inn in Atins.
Day 2: After breakfast, we will begin the trek by car, covering 23 km to Rio Negro, Bomzinho, taking approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes in a 4x4 vehicle. Then, we will begin the hike to Baixa Grande, with an expected arrival at 12:00. We will stay in Baixa Grande until the next day.
Day 3: Departure from Baixa Grande at 6:00 towards Queimada dos Britos, with an expected arrival at 12:00. We will depart from Queimada dos Britos at 16:00 towards the Dunes, stopping at 18:00 to watch the sunset and the moonrise. We will hike another 2 or 3 hours and sleep in the Dunes.
Day 4: We will wake up at 4:00 heading to Lagoa do Junco, with an expected arrival at 10:00. At 12:00, we will depart in a 4x4 vehicle (with stops at 2 lagoons for swimming) to Barreirinhas, lasting 3 hours. The expected arrival in Barreirinhas is at 16:00. The cost of the 4x4 vehicle from Lagoa do Junco to Barreirinhas will be split among all trek participants. In Barreirinhas, each member will choose their own accommodation at a hotel, and we will show a bit of the town center.
Day 5: Each member will return to their place of origin.

The cost of the trek is R$ 1,500.00 per person and includes:
– 2 long-sleeve UV shirts
– 1 balaclava
– 2 sheets of chlorine tablets
– Powdered isotonic drink
– 10 cereal bars
– 6 carb up gels
The cost of the speedboat is included (from Barreirinhas to Atins) and shared accommodation in rooms (4 people) in Atins, with breakfast, is also included. If you would like individual rooms for couples, please let us know in advance to check availability and the price difference.
The transport at the end of the trek will be split among all members in each car. It is approximately 120 km of road, lasting 3 hours to Barreirinhas.
IMPORTANT: Expenses at the Redários/Oásis will be covered by each member. Everyone will pay their own expenses (soft drinks, beer, food, coffee, lunch, dinner, etc.), with an average value of R$ 75.00 per meal. The food is excellent!
We will create a WhatsApp group, where information, doubts and questions from all participants will be shared.
Members from other locations must arrive in São Luís (MA) and take public transport (a shared van) that departs from the airport, bus station or hotel in São Luís, lasting 4 hours. The transport costs to Barreirinhas are not included in the package. However, it is necessary to arrive in Barreirinhas by 12:00 on the set day.
We give priority to full moon dates, it is even more beautiful at the campsites.
