FEE EXEMPTION
According to article 4 of Decree No. 044/2017, some categories are exempt from the Sustainable Tourism Fee:
- People with disabilities: upon presentation of a medical report and official photo ID;
- Children up to 12 years old: upon presentation of a birth certificate or official photo ID;
- Seniors over 60 years old: upon presentation of official photo ID;
- Residents and domiciled persons of the Municipality of Jijoca de Jericoacoara: upon presentation of official photo ID and proof of address in the municipality;
- Workers of the village of Jericoacoara: upon presentation of official photo ID and proof of employment relationship.
IMPORTANT:
The exemption status must be proven upon arrival in the village, by presenting valid documents to the city hall inspector.
HOW TO PAY THE FEE
If you prefer to pay the Sustainable Tourism Fee on your own, you can do so in two ways:
- In Jijoca: at the BR gas station, open from 07:00 to 19:00.
- Online: through the city hall website.
